Jennifer Lopez continued her baggy pants trend in Prabal Gurung during an appearance on Good Morning America inside Times Square Studios in Midtown Manhattan on Monday.

The 54-year-old pop star rocked a red turtleneck with darker red PVC cargo pants and hidden heels beneath a pink furry winter coat selected by styling duo Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn.

Jennifer ditched her usual hoop earrings for silver statement pieces and she wore sunglasses over her fully-contoured complexion applied by make-up artist Scott Barnes.

Hairstylist Lorenzo Martin fastened waist-length hair extensions over Lopez’s natural bob, and she toted a red latex Andrea Wazen ‘Franca’ bag, which normally retails for $730.

The two-time Grammy nominee is ‘honored’ to co-chair Monday night’s gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, which is themed ‘Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion.’

‘I was really honored to be asked to host it alongside Zendaya and Bad Bunny and Chris Hemsworth. Anna was gracious enough to ask me. We’re going to have a good time. It’s always a nice time there,’ Jennifer said on the ABC morning show.

‘It’s, like, such an interesting mix of like artists and business people. It’s not just music or film it’s everybody – fashion, film, music, business. You get to have some really interesting, kind of, interactions and looks! I can’t tell you anything [about mine]. You’ll have to tune in to see, but it’s exciting.’

As for whether Lopez will be able to walk in the mystery look, she scoffed: ‘Barely, ever. The Met Gala looks are not about comfort.’

It will mark the This Time Around singer’s 12th time attending Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour’s annual Costume Institute benefit beginning in 1999’s ‘Rock Style’ event wearing a cut-out halter gown beside her then boyfriend Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.

In 2021, Jennifer and her then boyfriend Ben Affleck kissed each other while wearing COVID-19 masks at the ‘In America’-themed Met Gala – just two years after she kissed then fiancé Alex Rodriguez at the ‘Camp’-themed 2019 Met Gala while clad in fringed Versace.

‘I wish I could have had the summer off,’ Jennifer confessed of the tour.

‘It’s a small tour. It’s like 28 shows. I’m going to hit a few cities. I’m excited! I haven’t been out [since] like 2019? Yeah, since before the pandemic. So I’m excited to see the fans and interact with the people again. It’s always a good time.’

As for whether or not Lopez’s 16-year-old fraternal twins – Emme Muñiz and Max Muñiz (with ex-husband #2 Marc Anthony) – will be joining her on the road, she revealed they’re still negotiating the terms.

‘I’m out for like two months from June to August, so I was like, “You have to come out for the whole month of July. You can, like, go to camp and do whatever you want with your friends in June, and then at the end of August before you start school you can go back and hang out with your friends again. But you have to come with Mommy for a little while!”‘ the former Fly Girl – who turns 55 in July – recalled telling them.

‘I feel like this is the last time that I’ll get to do something like this with them. They’re 16. And next time, they’re going to be like, “No, Mom.” I’m going to use the last little bit of force I have over them and control to be like, “You have to come at least for a little while, so hopefully they’ll acquiesce to that.’

Jennifer is currently facing substantial online backlash stemming from her overall unrelatability and cringey, over-the-top vanity projects including This Is Me… Now album, movie, documentary, and tour.

If you check any of Lopez’s TikTok/Instagram posts the comments are filled with people dragging her so-called Bronx roots, blaming her for the death of a TikToker she had shut down, and passing off the vocals of African-American singers (Ashanti, Christina Milian, and Brandy) as her own.

For instance in 2002, The Greatest Love Story Never Told producer-star not only kept the entire Jenny from the Block chorus and bridge performed by her back-up vocalist Natasha Ramos on the finished record, she even kept her giggles and ‘from the Bronx’ shout out from the original demo.
