The 54-year-old hitmaker, who has been spending time in her hometown for work, displayed her flat abs in a forest green cropped turtleneck sweater.

She wore a pair of low-waist wide-leg jeans and thick-soled brown shoes for her walk along the sidewalks of Manhattan.

The Rebound singer styled her lustrous tresses in loose waves which draped around her shoulders and down her back.

Her makeup looked natural with a flush of pink at the cheeks and a neutral lip.

JLo has been away from her family while working on her latest film, Kiss of the Spider Woman, based on the Tony-winning Broadway musical of the same name.

She will play the title character in the adaptation, which is being written and being directed by Bill Condon, who is known for musical films such as the Oscar-winning Dreamgirls and Chicago.

Lopez will star as Aurora, a silver screen diva conjured up by gay inmate Luis, who creates movies in his head about her to deal with the horrors of prison.

One of the characters Aurora plays is a Spider Woman who kills her prey with a kiss.

Tonatiuh Elizarraraz, 21, who goes professionally by his first name, has been signed to star as Luis.

Diego Luna, 44, will take on the role of his Marxist cellmate Valentin, with whom he makes an unusual bond.
